The Area
Villars and its linked villages of Gryon, Chesières & Les Diablarets offer the full range of summer and winter sports.
The village has one of Switzerland's oldest and most venerable golf courses, a covered year-round skating rink, indoor and outdoor swimming complex, sports hall, all-weather pitches, cinemas, teathre, shops and restaurants.
There is open-access via the lifts to the mountaints all year-round. Les Diablerets, at 3000m, is one of only a handful of Swiss glaciers offering summer skiing.
Easily accessible by car within 1 hour are the year-round playgrounds of Gstaad, Verbier and the Portes du Solei, as well as Montreux, Vevey and Lausanne shouldering the azure waters of Lac Leman.
